This works the same way an RC drone keeps itself in the air — a high-speed fan in the chassis pulls a vacuum against any smooth vertical surface, and the wheels do the rest. It will drive happily across painted walls, glass, mirrors and ceilings as long as the surface is reasonably smooth.
